Trust & Security
This page describes what PanelRoster actually does today — not aspirational claims. Where we haven't finished something yet (like a formal certification), we say so.
Built around UK GDPR and international data protection standards
PanelRoster is designed to align with UK GDPR and the wider data protection standards used across the international markets we operate in. Respondent and interviewer data is collected for a stated research purpose, retained only as long as needed, and never sold or repurposed for marketing.
Numbers are masked after fieldwork ends
While a study is active, interviewers see the phone numbers needed to complete their assigned calls. Once a study is archived or completed, respondent numbers are masked in the interviewer's view — only the owning agency retains full visibility.
You control deletion
Agencies can archive or delete a study. Studies with no allocations or respondent data can be permanently removed after a 30-day hold; studies with active fieldwork can be archived, which removes them from daily view without destroying the audit trail.
Row-level access control
Database access is scoped so that agencies and interviewers only ever see the studies, allocations, and respondents that belong to them. This is enforced at the database layer, not just in the app.
Every QC and payment action is logged
Accept, reject, and correction decisions are timestamped and attributed. Payment records include method, reference, and who approved them, so both agency and interviewer have a verifiable history.
Duplicate and quota safeguards
The platform blocks duplicate respondent submissions across interviewers on the same study, and enforces quota limits automatically rather than relying on manual checks.
Built on ICC/ESOMAR principles
PanelRoster's workflows — informed consent capture, purpose-limited data use, and separation of research data from any marketing use — follow the ICC/ESOMAR International Code on Market, Opinion and Social Research, the standard the global research industry works from.
Transparent about our methodology
We publish a detailed breakdown of how interviewers are vetted, how quotas and quality are enforced in the field, and how respondent data is handled end to end — the kind of transparency ESOMAR's own buyer questions are meant to produce, adapted to how field research (not online panels) actually works.
PanelRoster never holds your money
Agencies pay interviewers directly, outside the platform, using whatever method they already use (bank transfer, PayPal, Wise, local mobile payment apps, cash, etc). PanelRoster calculates exactly what's owed from accepted work and gives both sides a shared, verifiable record — it does not custody funds at any point.
Formal certifications, in progress
We're working toward ISO 27001 (information security) and ISO 20252 (research service quality), and plan to pursue ESOMAR Corporate Membership as the platform matures. This page will be updated as each is completed — we won't claim a certification before it's actually been granted.
