How rework rate works

Rework rate is the percentage of units that required correction before they could pass inspection or be shipped — a direct measure of hidden quality cost that a final-yield number alone doesn't show.

The formula

Rework rate = Units requiring rework ÷ Total units × 100

Divide the number of units that required rework by the total number of units, then multiply by 100.
