How the time zone meeting planner works

Scheduling a meeting across multiple offices means checking several time zones at once, not just converting between two. This tool shows a proposed meeting time translated into up to three team locations simultaneously.

Choose a date and time in your base time zone, then select up to three target time zones for your other locations. Each converted time is calculated using that zone's actual current UTC offset, including daylight saving time where it applies.

Use it to spot a meeting time that falls within reasonable working hours everywhere — or to see clearly when that isn't possible and a rotating or asynchronous approach makes more sense.

The formula

Same DST-aware conversion as the Time Zone Converter, applied to each target zone independently.

Each target zone's local time is calculated from the same UTC instant using that zone's own current offset — so a location in daylight saving time and one that isn't convert correctly at the same moment.

Worked example

9:00 AM in New York, checked against London and Singapore

In January (Eastern Standard Time), 9:00 AM in New York is 2:00 PM in London and 10:00 PM in Singapore — late evening, a signal to consider a different time for that location.

Frequently asked questions

How many target zones can I check at once?

Up to three, alongside your base zone — enough for most small distributed teams checking a proposed meeting time.

Does this handle daylight saving time?

Yes — each zone's offset is calculated for the specific date you choose, so conversions are correct on both sides of a daylight-saving transition.

What if no time works well for everyone?

That's valuable information too — it may be a sign to rotate the meeting time between locations over successive occurrences, or to shift to an asynchronous update instead of a live meeting.
